Breakfast with Santa

On Dec 13th we had Breakfast with Santa, for our 2nd year in a row. My sister and I have started a new tradition. We go to Breakfast with Santa at the Union Station, and it is so much fun. Our boys love it, especially because Grandma Combe comes along. This year was especially neat because the boys got interviewed by the Standard Examiner and they were mentioned in the Sunday paper. That's always exciting for your two your old to be in the newspaper!!!! It's really fun, they serve breakfast (obviously) but all the help is dressed up like elves, and they bring around pictures for the kids to color, and help the kids write a letter to Santa. They tell the Polar Express story and then Santa and Mrs Claus come around and visit each child. Mrs Claus gives a gift, and Santa hands a candy cane and a Jingle Bell. Make sure you can hear the bell jingle, Do You BeLiEvE?!?

SURPRISE!!!

On Oct 23rd I turned 30!!! Yes I can't believe it. I had a hard time that day, but I am really ok with being 30, mostly because I am so happy with my life. It's had it's up's and down's but every bump in the road was worth it. I would'nt change a thing!! So the saturday after my birthday I had to "babysit" for my sister in law for about an hour. To come home to a house full of friends and family. My mom and sis p;lanned a surprise party for me and they did a really good job. Todd kept it a secret from me and that's really hard to do, I pry everything out of everyone. I was really surprised and had a great time!! Thanks Mom and Jessie your the best. Thanks to my husband for everything!!! Your my BEST friend and my life!!! I love you! Thanks everyone for coming! Angie good job at not blowing the surprise and Thank you too!!

Boston Broke his arm!

So Boston has a broken arm....I was really sad and disappointed, I felt like a really bad mom, how could I let something like that happen to my little baby. Honestly it was just a fluke thing, he plays horsey on the arm of our couch and fell off. Well it just seemed like any other fall, which, let's face it boys (kids) do ALL the time. He cried and shook it off and continued to play. The next day (Oct 25th) I was changing him out of his jammies and grabbed his arm in just the right spot and he started screaming bloody murder. I just figured he had bruised it, but being a normal paranoid mom I took him to have it looked at. Like I said I thought I was just being paranoid and over reacting, so I never expected the DR to come in and tell me it was broken....sure enough it was, not a bad brake, they call it a "buckle brake" but it's on his Radius and Ulna, both bones on his forearm. So he has a cast for at least 3 weeks. It really wasn't that bad and he never seemed to be in too much pain, I think it's been alot harder on me than anything. But now that the shock is wearing off and he is adjusting to the cast he actually looks cute with it. Looks all tough and so much more like a little rugged boy!!!

Halloween Party!

My Aunt Jeri had a really fun Halloween party for all of the kids. It was a lot of fun because it was with my cousins and their kids...so our kids are 2nd cousins and haven't seen each other in a while. They are all really close to the same age and just had so much fun playing, she had a bean bag toss, a pinata, a fishing pond for prizes, we ate dinner and played. It was really good to see everyone again, with all our busy lives we never seem to keep in touch. Thanks Rick and Jeri for all your hard work at planning this fun party. We love you!!strong>a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhen1_YSsc42dnxbFU6RXIVhDLBaST2ndyaWM2XbOhK9gb-bNCt8i3Hsr-cLfT_Owh0kRlQ3fP9VEdP8LWG2ls4WPl_7VuxRDIk-t6bIMANKB3FK3bztuCpi7V-dJ7_gDQCQPBz2ZPbYz0/s1600-h/Family+photos+954.jpg">
